Case Management Now Part of Standard Offering with Release of CaseWare Monitor 5.1
Toronto, Canada, February 18, 2016 – CaseWare Analytics, the developer of IDEA® and other data analytics solutions for finance, accounting, governance, risk and audit professionals, has released version 5.1 of CaseWare Monitor, which now offers case management functionality as part of its standard package.
CaseWare Monitor continuously analyzes business systems data, detects anomalies, and collects critical information on the root cause of failures to minimize the chance of reoccurrence. The solution also allows users to set up automatic workflows with alerts and custom notifications, engaging the entire business in remediation efforts.
This availability of case management functionality allows users to quickly and easily organize the data they need to investigate, resolve and report exceptions or alerts. With CaseWare Monitor 5.1, investigators can manually associate or disassociate Work Items and Cases to other Work Items or Cases, helping build a more comprehensive view of similar items for investigations and allowing users to view related items in one place.
Employees from various departments are also able to perform their own investigations or cross-reference materials for simultaneous investigations. There is no limit to the number of Work Items/Cases that can be associated with one another, and associated Work Items/Cases are not required to be in the same Result Set. Users also have the option to prevent cases from being closed if any associated Work Items are still open. By guaranteeing that associated Work Items are remediated to completion before a case is finalized, thorough and complete investigations are ensured.
